Case Study:

Sandy Speaks Therapy

Speech Therapy Private Practice

Scope

Brand Strategy, Logo Design, Web Design, Web Development

Overview

The goal of our work together was to build a brand and website for Sandy Speaks Therapy that sets her up for long term success. Her brand visuals needed to honor her late mom and brother & the website needed to be developed to act as a tool and streamline her business processes.

Goals at a Glance

  • Brand identity that attracted private pay adults and represented a child-friendly atmosphere
  • Logo that honored the owner’s late mom and brother while representing speech therapy services
  • A well structured website to kick start the private practice and build credibility

Results

Brand Identity

By sticking to warm greens and blues, the design will provide bright colors without seeming childish. Using monochromatic shades of the brand palette will also add some playfulness to the design without seeming too kid-centric.

The logomark blends two symbols — a dragonfly and daisy– in honor of the owner’s late brother. The wing of the dragonfly is shaped like speech bubbles to tie in services Sandy Speaks Therapy offers.

Website Design

The main goal of the website was to provide credibility and give visitors a simple way to email the owner for a consultation. We achieved this by having a clear call to action in the main menu and the bottom of each page.

As for the design, we used a monochromatic background with common speech therapy tools for the hero banner and included images from her brand photoshoot throughout the website. This helped us maintain a consistent brand persona of being kid-friendly and personable without being childish.

We broke down the speech therapy services she offered by separating them into different areas of expertise with icons representing each section. This helped with user experience by making the content easy to read and understand.

As an experienced speech pathologist, the owner’s drive to start her own practice stemmed from her late mother’s inspiration. It was important that we paid tribute to her mom’s legacy on the website. We worked with our copywriter, Jessica, to find the perfect words for this section.

Outcome

I used Tracy to create my business website and logo for Sandy Speaks Therapy. Tracy was always willing to answer my questions and acted so quickly whenever I had concerns. My website and logo turned out better than I could have imagined! I highly recommend Tracy Mak Studio, and plan to use her services again in the future if needed.
