Shoutout from the Founder
I should’ve seen the signs that web design was my calling when I was 14 and voluntarily brought home giant iMac computers from technology class so I could finish developing Flash websites. I kept trying to escape this draw to web design, but it kept pulling me back.
I graduated college with an International Business & Marketing degree – but it was my internship that left the biggest imprint. I started to teach myself how to code, do A/B testing on email newsletters, and began creating websites based on user experience. Once I graduated, I took the knowledge I learned and expanded it over the course of a decade and several military moves to Oklahoma and Georgia before returning home to Michigan.
With technology constantly evolving and growing, the possibilities of what can be created is endless. That’s why strategy is so important and such a big part of our projects. It’s the strategy that guides the tools and content used on the website allowing us to future-proof your website for years to come. Once the website is launched, the strategy can continue to influence social media, newsletters, and SEO.

Hi! I’m Jessica Lin, the copywriter and editor for Tracy Mak Design. We met when our husbands were stationed at Ft. Stewart, Georgia. As a military brat and wife, I’ve spent my whole life moving around but have unintentionally spent the last few years in Indiana.
I’m the person you call and ask, “This doesn’t sound right, but I don’t know why.” only to have me provide an impromptu lesson on reflexive adverbs.
I am a detail oriented copy editor, writer, and tutor adept at managing several deadlines and multiple clients towards successful conclusions. I have vast experience in tutoring students with their essay writing across multiple subjects, copy editing books of nearly every genre, as well as ghost writing to meet professional client needs. You may have read a book I’ve written, but will never know because I am adept at handling non disclosure agreements with the utmost discretion.
If I may take these last sentences and be honest: Writing is a joy for me. Luckily for me, Tracy and I work seamlessly together. I love when Tracy sends me a paragraph and asks if I can squeeze it into 6 words. Yes, she actually does that. Yes, I can do that.
