AI Blogging: The Game Changer for Group & Private Practices

Guest Post Written by Jessica Lin

As the copywriter for Tracy Mak Studio, I have been asked to help create a guide for non-writers to incorporate AI into their blogging processes. While I did consider mutiny, the truth is I’m tired of reading things poorly written by AI.

Before we dive in, I would like to take this moment to remind you that humanity has built connections with stories for centuries. If you choose to integrate AI, it’s imperative to add personal touches in order to connect with potential clients.

You cannot expect a human to read what a human did not write.

While we know that blogging is one of the most powerful ways to grow your practice in 2025, I do recognize that facing a blank page can be intimidating.

Yes, it helps potential clients find you online, builds trust, and strengthens your SEO, all while showcasing your expertise and voice; but for many people, blogging can feel like standing at the base of a steep mountain without a map.

That’s where AI comes in. Think of AI as a sherpa on the blogging trail. It doesn’t walk the journey for you, but when used well it can help with some of the heavy lifting and make the trek more manageable. With the right tools and prompts, AI can help you plan the route, carry some of the load, and support you every step of the way.

In order to help you take the first step for integrating AI into blog writing, I have included several examples of prompts for you to model for your own private practices.

If you’re new to blogging or unsure why it’s so important for your practice, take a moment to read our earlier guide: The Power of Writing Blog Posts: A Must-Do Strategy.

Making the Tone: Analysis and Description

Before you begin the climb, it helps to know your own voice: the rhythm of your steps and the way you approach the journey. With AI, you can preserve your personal tone by having it analyze a sample of your existing writing.

To do this, find a sample of your blog content, input it into your AI engine of choice, and ask the AI to describe your voice. This will act as your trail guide’s handbook, ensuring every new post stays true to your original style.

Prompt Example:
You’re an AI system that has been trained to analyze the text below for style, voice, and tone to create a voice paragraph. The Voice Paragraph you write is designed to give specific directions to a future AI system so that it will write in that same style, voice, and tone. Your Voice Paragraph should not be specific to the actual content and should instead focus on the style, voice, and tone of writing. Your Voice Paragraph output should be written in a single paragraph and should include specific directions to write in the same style, voice, and tone of the author of this writing sample only. Begin your response with "Write with the following style, voice, and tone..." Limit your Voice Paragraph to a single paragraph. Here is the input text to write your Voice Paragraph description based on: [INSERT BLOG POST TEXT]

Once this is in place, AI will know how to walk in step with you.

Setting the Stage: Directing AI Blogging

Now that you’ve packed your voice into your metaphorical backpack, the next step is to give your AI some context. You’re leading the expedition, and it needs to know who you are, where you’re headed, and who you’re helping along the way.

Prompt Example:
You’re a blog writer specializing in high-ranking blog posts. Your primary task is to create posts that rank highly in search engine results. The business is Tracy Mak Studio, a Michigan-based design studio specializing in custom websites for private and group therapy practices. We help therapists stand out online through strategic branding and high-performance web design. Our clients are primarily therapists in metro Detroit and throughout Michigan who want to grow their practices with intention.

By clearly defining your goals, the AI can become a more helpful companion on the trail.

Brainstorming Title Ideas

Every journey starts with a destination. Once you have your topic, use AI to help brainstorm blog titles that point you toward that summit. If you’re struggling to generate blogging topics, I have written a guide to help you: Boost Your Blog Visibility: How to Use SEO Tools to Amplify Your Content

Prompt Example:
Give me 10 blog title ideas for a blog about how therapists can use AI for blog writing. Make the titles short and catchy.

Think of these prompts as trail markers. They show you where to go and help attract the right readers to follow along.

Producing the Outline with AI

With your title in hand, it’s time to sketch the path forward. Ask the AI to map out the structure of your blog post so you don’t lose your footing halfway up the trail.

Prompt Example:
Write an outline for a blog post with the title: "How Therapists Can Use AI for Blog Writing." Include “AI blog writing for therapists” in the headings. Use a list format to describe the main benefits.

This outline acts like your route map—making sure your content has structure, flow, and direction.

AI Blogging Requires Manual Editing

Even with a guide, no two paths are the same. This is where your human insight comes in. You’ll want to review the AI’s work, adjust the language, fix grammar as needed, add in research or stats, and personalize the content for your audience.

As a copywriter I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that EDITING IS IMPERATIVE.

Editing is your opportunity to smooth the rough patches, remove any repetitive elements, and make sure your post feels clear and authentic to you. AI is merely a reflection of what it has been told and what it has scraped off of the internet, which we know is filled with misinformation. If AI does not have a readily available answer, it will generate a false one, creating what is known as a hallucination.

As content creators, it’s important to ensure that if you are integrating AI into your blogging process, it has provided clear and accurate information before you post. Media literacy is a topic Tracy and I are deeply passionate about. If you have more questions about media literacy, I have just the blog entry for you

Putting It All Together: AI Writes the Blog Post

Once your tone is defined, your outline is set, and your direction is clear, it’s time to let AI help draft the full post.

Prompt Example:
Write a blog post with the title: “How Therapists Can Use AI for Blog Writing.” Use the voice paragraph defined above along with the following outline: [insert outline]. Include the keywords "AI blog writing for therapists," "therapy near me," and "metro Detroit." The call to action should be to encourage readers to explore how AI can support their content marketing.

With the heavy lifting taken care of, you can focus on the final details; just like reaching that last stretch of the trail before the view at the summit beckons you.

Climbing the mountain of consistent blog writing can feel daunting. But with the right support system, like AI, the journey becomes smoother and more achievable. From brainstorming to outlining, drafting to editing, AI can help therapists get to the top faster without losing their voice along the way.

If you’ve been putting off blogging because it feels like too much, consider this your trailhead. With AI at your side, you’re no longer climbing alone.

After you complete writing your blogs, you will still need to upload it to your website with the correct SEO formatting.  At Tracy Mak Studio, we not only help private practices and small businesses build websites and content strategies that feel clear, grounded, and aligned with their goals, but with our Website Care Plans, we’re here to support you well after the launch of your website. With our Website Care Plan, we ensure clients receive 1-2 hours of website update requests a month, including formatting and adding your completed blogs, optimizing your SEO, and maintaining up-to-date software protecting your website from hackers and malware.
